Dr. Satish Kumar Gupta did his PhD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1983 and worked at National Institute of Immunology since 1982 at various scientific positions. He superannuated from the position of Deputy Director (Scientist-H) in 2015 and subsequently worked as Emeritus Scientist/J. C. Bose National Fellow, Reproductive Cell Biology Lab, National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi till 2020. He is currently working as ICMR Emeritus Scientist at Indian Council of Medical Research Headquarters, New Delhi. His areas of specialization include Reproductive Biology/Immunology, Cell Biology, Immunodiagnostics, and Vaccine. He is Fellow, The National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad, India (1994); Fellow, The Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, India (1998); Fellow, The Indian National Science Academy, Delhi, India (2000); and Fellow, National Academy of Medical Sciences, India (2005). He won several awards some of which include, the INSA Young Scientists Science Academy Medal-1982;  Smt Swaran Kanta Dingley Oration Award by the ICMR-1995; Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Medical Sciences by the CSIR- 1997;  Ranbaxy Research Award-2011 in Medical Sciences-Medical Research, Ranbaxy Science Foundation (2012); Life Time Achievement Award-2016, Indian Society for Study of Reproduction and Fertility, India and the Haryana Vigyan Ratna Award (2013-14), Haryana State Council for Science and Technology, Government of Haryana. He has published more than 280 papers in various international/national journals and Proceedings. In addition, he has edited 11 books/journals (special volume), signed Memorandum of Understanding with industries for 8-technology transfer and held 8 Indian patents and 2 international patents. He is currently the President of the International Society for Immunology of Reproduction (2019-2022).
