Dr. Shweta Bhatt

Dr. Shweta Bhatt holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign (USA) and Post-doctorate from Harvard University (USA). She carries over two decades long experience and technical expertise in the areas of preclinical and clinical discoveries driving Therapeutic Innovation; Molecular Diagnostics and Immuno-Oncology; Drug Discovery, High-throughput Drug Screening and Toxicology; 3D Cell-based Platforms (Organoids, Microfluidic Devices, Organ-on-Chips) for modelling human diseases.  Dr. Bhatt has been involved with research groups in top global organizations both in academia and industry in technical leadership positions driving innovative translational research. She has worked with Nobel-prize winning technologies (Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells, CRISPR-based gene editing etc.) and has been part of research and development teams, sharing space with several Nobel Laureates. While at Harvard University, she was conferred upon the prestigious Mary K. Iacocca award for her ground-breaking scientific contributions, and has been published in peer-reviewed international journals of global repute. Dr. Bhatt has been an invited speaker at various international scientific meetings (across USA, Europe, Canada etc.) and is a member of numerous international scientific societies and organizations of global prestige (Endocrine Society, USA; American Diabetes Association, USA; American Society for Cancer Research, USA and International Society of Stem Cell Research (ISSCR). She carries a rich and splendid experience in basic science and clinical research, products and processes development. She was recognized and awarded for her exceptional contributions to the field of education in the USA. She spearheads top-level scientific operations and supports business development at Yashraj Biotechnology. She is passionate about building technologies to address unmet scientific and healthcare needs and to revolutionize the space of cancer medicine through innovative and personalized solutions.
