Bio Specimen Controls have become an important resource in medical research, supporting many type of contemporary research like genomics and personalized medicine. Each biospecimen control like patient blood, urine, tumor and tumor-adjacent normal tissue biopsies can be used for cross purpose research studies. Many researchers have identified banking of these biospecimen controls as a key advantage in promoting drug discovery and development. Along the same lines, gene edited cell lines along with their isogenic controls offer a unique advantage to researchers for understanding disease mechanism and drug targets.
