Human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) are transforming cardiovascular research by providing a reliable human-based platform for disease modeling, drug safety assessment, and regenerative medicine. This review highlights advancements in cardiomyocyte generation, maturation, and standardization, along with applications in precision medicine and cardiotoxicity screening. The article also discusses current challenges, regulatory progress through the CiPA initiative, and the future potential of hiPSC-CMs in personalized cardiovascular therapies.
